Justice for the Misfits

Misfits Market sells goods that are blacklisted from normal grocery stores for superficial reasons. Whether they’re slightly over the expiration date, too little, too small, or have packaging errors, the Misfits have been unfairly prosecuted.

We want these ugly, but delicious, foods to get a fair shot at consumption. Accepting the ugly is the first step in creating something beautiful.

In celebration of outcasts everywhere, Misfits Market social media will be crowdsourcing embarrassing stories on social media.

Whether it’s embarrassing yearbook photos or cringeworthy anecdotes, we want to celebrate the beauty of not fitting in and prove that even misfits can find their place in this world.

Misfits Market social media will also include a two-part animated short that comically depicts our lovably atypical grocery items in a classic rejection situation that audiences can relate to
